One-Command Atmos Pro Setup

Setting up Atmos Pro in a repository used to mean manually creating GitHub Actions workflows, authentication profiles, and stack configuration. The new atmos pro install command scaffolds everything in seconds.

What It Does

atmos pro install generates the complete set of files needed to connect your repository to Atmos Pro's CI/CD orchestration platform:

  • GitHub Actions workflows for terraform plan, apply, affected stacks detection, and instance listing
  • Authentication profiles with GitHub OIDC for separate plan (read-only) and apply (admin) roles
  • Stack mixin that configures Pro workflow triggers for PRs, merges, and drift detection

Usage

# Interactive installation with confirmation prompts
atmos pro install

# Preview what would be created
atmos pro install --dry-run

# Skip confirmation prompts
atmos pro install --yes

# Overwrite existing files
atmos pro install --force

Why This Matters

Teams adopting Atmos Pro no longer need to copy workflow templates, configure auth profiles by hand, or wire up stack mixins manually. One command produces a working CI/CD integration that follows best practices — then you customize the generated files for your environment.
